Sea Lion Group’s newest member CLL Immunisation Centre hosting an open house celebration

CLL Immunisation Centre (the newest member of Sea Lion Group) is hosting an open house to celebrate its opening on 16th and 17th March 2022. On the first day of the event, Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce (MCCOC) and CLL Immunisation Centre sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on collaboration for vaccination of members of MCCOC, its sister associations and affiliated organisations.

CLL Immunisation Centre is a privately-run facility located in Thuwunna, Thingangyun township, Yangon on a 7-acre plot designed to hold over 300 cars and vaccinate up to 2,000 persons every day, while stringently upholding COVID-19 safety precautions. To respect your privacy, vaccinations and pre-vaccination medical assessments will be performed in individual rooms.

CLL offers Drive-Thru Vaccination, which is simple, safe and effective, with full infection prevention and control procedures to senior citizens and those who are having difficulty walking and who refrain themselves from going to crowded places, hospitals, and clinics concerning risks of cross-infection.

Dedicated teams of professionals have been rigorously trained to handle the vaccines every step of the way, from the moment that they are received at CLL Immunisation Centre to when they are injected. CLL Immunisation Centre provides 24-hour monitoring of quality vaccines using Cloud based Real-time Temperature Monitoring and Alert System. In case of deviation in storage temperature, there will be an automatic alert to staff.

Like any other medications, vaccines have a small chance of triggering unexpected adverse allergic reactions. If such an emergency occurs, all vaccination rooms at CLL Immunisation Centre are equipped with emergency life-saving medications as well as rigorous protocols to notify the on-site Emergency Medical Team, which is staffed by experienced and skilled healthcare professionals, for providing the necessary treatment.

SINOVAC COVID-19 Vaccine Authorized for Commercial Sale in Myanmar 

Yangon, Myanmar- 8 November, 2021

Sea Lion Group is pleased to announce a collaboration with Sinovac Biotech Ltd. (SINOVAC) to facilitate the commercial sale and distribution of SINOVAC CoronaVac® COVID-19 vaccines in Myanmar starting mid-November 2021. Myanmar was recently battered by the country’s third wave of COVID-19 infections, placing pressure on both public and private healthcare resources. Packed hospitals and oxygen shortages demonstrated the need for effective vaccines and a universal vaccination program. SEA LION has been at the forefront of the private sector’s efforts to bear the brunt of the deadliest wave to hit Myanmar, providing a wide array of products and services that have been irreplaceable in saving lives impacted most by the virus.

The CoronaVac® is innovated and manufactured by SINOVAC, a pharmaceutical company based in Beijing. In China, the CoronaVac® was cleared for Emergency Use Authorization in June 2020, conditional marketing use on 5 February 2021, and emergency use for children aged 3-17 in May 2021. On 1 June 2021, the WHO approved this vaccine for emergency use. As of September 2021, more than 50 countries have authorized the vaccine for emergency use or marketing use with conditions, 6 of which have cleared it for children. In Myanmar, the CoronaVac® vaccine has been in use since 8 August 2021. 

On 1 November 2021, the Myanmar FDA has officially granted SEA LION the importation approval for commercial sale of the CoronaVac® vaccine for people aged 12 and above. SEA LION is planning to receive the first batch of vaccines in mid-November. Dr. Win continued to say that Sea Lion Group’s logistic arm, SLDS Co. is capable of and has been authorized to store and distribute COVID-19 vaccines of all three temperature requirements and that SLDS has already successfully provided end-to-end storage and distribution services for 250,000-plus doses of COVID-19 vaccines to vaccination sites in over 30 cities in Myanmar.

တရုတ်နိုင်ငံ၊ ပေကျင်းမြို့တွင်တည်ရှိသော ဆေးဝါးကုမ္ပဏီတစ်ခုဖြစ်သည့်  SINOVAC မှ ထုတ်လုပ်သည့် CoronaVac®  ကာကွယ်ဆေးအား တရုတ်ပြည်သူ့သမ္မတနိုင်ငံတွင်  လူအများအသုံးပြုနိုင်ရန်အတွက် အရေးပေါ်အသုံးပြုခွင့်ကို   ၂၀၂၀ ခုနှစ် ဇွန်လတွင်လည်းကောင်း၊ ၂၀၂၁ ခုနှစ် ဖေဖော်ဝါရီလ (၅) ရက်နေ့တွင် အကန့်အသတ်ဖြင့်ရောင်းချခွင့်ကို လည်းကောင်း၊ ၂၀၂၁ ခုနှစ် မေလ တွင် အသက် (၃) နှစ်မှ (၁၇) နှစ်အရွယ်အတွက် အရေးပေါ်အသုံးပြုခွင့်ကို လည်းကောင်း ထပ်မံရရှိခဲ့ပါသည်။ WHO မှ အရေးပေါ်အသုံးပြုခွင့်ကို ၂၀၂၁ ခုနှစ် ဇွန်လ (၁) ရက်နေ့တွင် ရရှိခဲ့ပါ သည်။ ၂၀၂၁ ခုနှစ် စက်တင်ဘာလအထိ နိုင်ငံပေါင်း (၅၀) ကျော်တွင် ၎င်းကာကွယ်ဆေးကို ထိုးနှံ လျက်ရှိပြီး ၎င်းနိုင်ငံများအနက်မှ (၆) နိုင်ငံတွင် ကလေးများကိုပါ ထိုးနှံပေးလျက်ရှိပါသည်။ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင်လည်း CoronaVac® ကာကွယ်ဆေးကို ၂၀၂၁ ခုနှစ် သြဂုတ်လ (၈) ရက်နေ့မှ စတင်ထိုးနှံပေးလျက်ရှိပါသည်။

SINOVAC အကြောင်း
